I’m thrilled to extend Accela’s congratulations to our partner, Federal ePermits, for being the 2011 winner of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s annual “Small Business of the Year” award, bestowed for outstanding contributions and service to Treasury’s Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).  During a Dec. 15 award ceremony attended by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and other Department leaders, Federal ePermits was cited for excellence in the performance of its contract to assist TTB in configuring and installing a Permits Online application, based on Accela Automation.  Treasury lauded Federal ePermits for being “knowledgeable and capable” in preparing TTB for the project and cited its “extensive experience and skill” in helping TTB to accomplish its much-needed requirement.

Permits Online is TTB’s new method for drafting, submitting, and tracking original and amended applications to operate alcohol and tobacco businesses, and register to make tax-free sales of firearms and ammunition.  The new system allows TTB to better support increasing application volumes, reduce costs, and improve service.

Federal ePermits, a joint venture between Washington-based TechGlobal, Inc. and Peak Technology Solutions, Inc., is a key Accela partner in the Federal market.  We’re pleased to work with such a professional team, and we wish the company much success in 2012.
